In 2002, key members of the Downers Grove community formed theEducation Foundation of Downers Grove District 58.
For over fifteen years, the Education Foundation has raised over 1.3 Million dollars to support District58’s through grants, programs and community events.
The Foundation is designed to represent various areas of the community, including Village elected officials, District 58 administration, staff,principals, teachers and Board of Education members, and local business owners.
Our plan? To raise funds for District 58 Schools, and its growing initiatives that enrich and enhance students education and lives by funding programs that make a real difference.

The Education Foundation supports thirteen schools: Belle Aire, El Sierra, Fairmount, Henry Puffer, Highland, Hillcrest, Indian Trail, Kingsley, Lester, Pierce Downer and Whittier Elementary Schools along with Herrick and O’Neill Middle Schools.
The Education Foundation functions as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3), independent of Downers Grove Grade School District 58. Our Vision... To be the premier Foundation recognized for enrichingeducation for the District 58 children.

The Education Foundation is committed to funding educational projects and initiatives that would not otherwise be funded by District 58 due to limited financial resources. Funding will focus on the following:
• Technology Innovation
• Teacher and Staff Development
• Curriculum Enrichment
• Creating better citizens and community
• Preparing students for community partnerships
with key individuals & corporations

District 58 schools support more than 5,000 students annually and the need for new student teaching aids, tools, and technologies change regularly. The Education Foundation of Downers Grove District 58 continuously seeksnew and unique funding opportunities to support this annual need.
